Biography

Lu Honglei is an Associate Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University. He is a recipient of the Tsinghua Zijing Scholar award and has held academic positions as a postdoctoral fellow at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California; a joint PhD researcher at the School of Anthropology, University of Oxford; and a visiting scholar at the School of Communication, Simon Fraser University, Canada.

His primary research interests include Marxist journalism, public opinion, and international communication. He has authored several books on journalism and public opinion, published over 20 academic papers, and regularly contributes opinion pieces to newspapers and periodicals. He has led multiple national social science research projects, think tank initiatives, and provincial-level studies.
